This summer has been packed full of fun...and a good bit of fighting between Alyssa and Audrey if we're being honest, but mostly fun! At the beginning of the summer, both girls had their team parties celebrating the end a fun softball season. Audrey had a blast at Spring Valley Beach with the rest of the 6U Mustangs. They swam and went down all the slides (except the BIG one).

We stayed at Audrey's party as long as we could and then headed from one party to another. Alyssa had a great time eating hot dogs, playing kickball, and fishing at her team party. She and Audrey even caught their first fish!

The first few weeks of June were spent relaxing and enjoying not having anything to do or anywhere to be. We spent lots of time playing in the backyard and poolside-the Freeman girls LOVE their pool time!

At the end of the month, we made our annual trip to California. The girls were great on the flight and we didn't have any problems or delays (thank goodness!). We always pack as much fun as we can into our two weeks with Jared's family and this year was no different. We spent several days at Nana Donna's pool swimming with Isaac,
and helped Jared's mom celebrate her birthday with the rest of the family.

The Tooth Fairy even made a visit to California for Audrey.

Isaac spent a lot of time with us while Aunt Jasmine was at work which the girls loved. They were able to take a trip to CuriOdyssey to play and see some cool animals,
and Jared and I took all the kids to a Giants game. Baseball is not Allie's thing, so seven innings was all she could take.

Isaac celebrated his ninth birthday while we were there, and the girls loved playing the parts of pirates at his party. They had a great time playing on the playground and playing hoops with Daddy.

| Aargh! |
It has become a kind of tradition to head out to Half Moon Bay every summer with Jared's grandma, Aunt Denise, and Siena and we had a great time as usual! We got good and sandy and found lots of seashells before enjoying lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant (another tradition).
We went to Santa Cruz for the day last year and had so much fun that we drove back to the Boardwalk again this year where we rode rides all day and the girls played their first games of laser tag and miniature golf. Their golfing skills could use a little work. ;)
Another California favorite for this family is the Fourth of July parade and carnival. Allie was not in the best of moods at the parade this year, but once we made it to the carnival she cheered right up.

Of course, the girls just had to spend the night with Auntie Jasmine while we were there to make pizzas and give her a makeover. Didn't they do a fabulous job?!?! They've gotten older since this tradition began, but I'm not so sure that their make-up skills have improved very much :)
After our California trip, we took a quick family beach trip to Gulf Shores.

Now it's already the last week of summer! We've been making the most of our last few days together this week with trips to Pump It Up and the Springville splash pad with friends.

This summer has truly flown by! Time for school shopping and Meet the Teacher! I'm not sure 1st and 3rd grades are ready for these girls- hoping for a great year!!!
