What a Difference a Month Can Make...

     Our sweet little Allie was two months old on May 27th. Time has flown and she is getting so big. She has changed so much in the past month. At her one-month check-up, she weighed 9 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. She hadn't started smiling yet, and pretty much all she did was sleep, eat, and sleep some more? See what I mean??? Here she is sound asleep at one month :)

      Allie still loves her beauty sleep, but these days she loves to coo and smile at Mommy and Daddy too. It is the sweetest thing to hear and melts our hearts. She has started to hold her toys and loves looking at her mobile in her crib and listening to music. A lot of times when we put her to bed at night, we will think she is asleep and haven't heard a peep in about 15 minutes, but as soon as the music on her mobile goes off, she gets mad and lets you know it! We went to the doctor for her two-month check-up on Monday, and she now weighs 12 lbs. 6 oz. and is 22 3/4 inches long. She's getting to be quite the chunky little monkey. Where Did May Go???

     I've been slacking on the blog posts here lately. The main reason is I went back to work at the beginning of May. Factor in field trips and May Day with my class, all the end-of-the-year paperwork for my classroom, Alyssa's softball schedule, and AMSTI training and there was no time left for blogging. We had a VERY busy month!!!! Here are a few of the highlights:
     After spending about three days a week at the ballpark for the past couple of months, Alyssa finished her first softball season. Here's one of her favorite moments of the season:



  Another big moment last month was when Alyssa graduated from K4. I must admit, Mommy was a little teary-eyed. My baby will be a kindergartener next year!!! Daddy put together a video of some of the highlights from graduation. She was in the back row, so sometimes it's a little hard to see her, but she was really getting into those songs. The preschool did a great job with the show!!
