Cross-Country Kiddos

As usual, the Freeman kiddos and Mommy and Daddy flew out to California to spend a couple of weeks with Daddy's family. We look forward to visiting for months ahead of time since we only see most of them once a year. And of course the girls just LOVE spending the whole two weeks at Isaac's house with him, Auntie Jasmine, Uncle Rob, and their menagerie of pets :-) Not to say there's no fighting when you get this group of cousins together, but they sure do have LOTS of fun, and this year was no different. We packed our two weeks with as much fun as we could. Lots of family dinners and fun outings! Check out our pictures if you don't believe me ;-) This post could get quite long, so I'll just give you the highlight reel:

After a LOOOOOONNNNGGGG trip (we're talking a 5 hour layover in Houston), we finally made it to California where Nana Donna was waiting for us at the airport!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!

Of course, after a long day of traveling, we needed to spend the next day relaxing outside in the sun :-)
Such cheesers!
Silly willies!

A picnic lunch at the park has become a little Freeman family tradition...
No hands!
You can tell Audrey had a great time at the park by her hair :-)

We had a blast celebrating Isaac's sixth birthday.....

We headed to Gilroy Gardens (a kiddie theme park) with Nana Donna, Auntie Jasmine, and Isaac- SUPER CUTE place!
Driving the car and not watching the road :-)

Audrey loved the paddle boats- can you tell?
Drove out to Half Moon Bay to put our toes in the Pacific ocean (as Nonni would say) and ate at our favorite Italian restaurant with Nonni, Uncle Val, Aunt Denise, and Siena...
Audrey fell in :-)

AND OF COURSE..... lasagna, cheesecake, and waffles made by Nana Donna- Audrey claims they're THE BEST EVER, and I'm hard-pressed to disagree.

Oh, and how could I forget? Mommy and Daddy spent THREE nights kid-free. Thanks to Nana Donna, Aunt Denise, Siena, and Auntie Jasmine for babysitting! You guys rock!!!\

Today, we flew back to sweet home Alabama, and Alyssa's first tooth fell out somewhere between San Francisco and Houston! She's getting so big!!!

She's so excited about getting a visit from the tooth fairy!

It's definitely great to be home, but we miss everyone already!!!!

Stars, Stripes, and Everything Nice

     Happy Fourth of July!

The Freeman family spent a fabulous day celebrating with a full day of all of our favorite things: family, the pool, LOTS of food (think ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, spinach dip, potato salad, baked beans, homemade ice cream... Mmmmmm, are you hungry yet?  ;) , and fireworks.
We headed to Lee Lee's this morning to spend the day with Hillary, Dustin, Heidi, Layla, Nana, Lee Lee, Uncle Greg, Michael, and Granny. Alyssa and Audrey had a blast swimming and playing in the pool with Daddy while Allie and enjoyed a little nap poolside before lunch.

After some YUMMY food, we managed to get a little more pool time in before it started getting cloudy. By that time, the girls were looking a little tired, which meant.... nap time for little girls! The kiddos woke up refreshed and ready to play. We had so much fun that baby Allie and baby Layla decided they were going to break their records for how long they could go without a nap!!!

Once the sun set, it was time for FIREWORKS! The girls were so excited! After having a little fun with some sparklers, Daddy put on a fireworks show for everyone. Alyssa and Audrey enjoyed every minute of the show and didn't want it to end.

Such a fun day!!!!
