Field Trip Fun

Last Thursday was Alyssa's last K4 field trip of the year. Her class was headed to the Children's Theater. Mommy had so much fun when we went in December that of course she had to go again. And this time she remembered the camera :-) The plan was to start the day out by watching "The Little Engine that Could" and then head to the park for the kids to play for an hour or so before Chik-fil-A kid's meals and heading back to the preschool. It had been drizzling earlier that morning, so we were thinking the park was probably out. Luckily, it cleared up and turned into a pretty afternoon, nothing a few towels on the slides and benches couldn't fix. The kids were so quiet and well-behaved during the play (something a teacher mommy can appreciate) and had a blast playing at the park. What a fun day!!!

Princess Party

We celebrated Alyssa's 5th birthday with a party at A Play Place on the 3rd of this month. There had been a lot going on that week, including all of the awful tornado destruction, and it was a rainy night, but we still had a great time. All of our family and several of Alyssa's friends came to help us celebrate. All of the kids climbed, jumped, ran themselves silly, and stuffed their faces with pizza and cheese puffs (there were quite a few orange hands that got wiped on unsuspecting mommies), and  I'm pretty sure that none of the kiddos had any trouble sleeping that night :-) Such a fun night celebrating our super sweet five-year-old!!!!

Happy birthday Alyssa Jean!!!
