What other day of the year can a 2-year old eat candy for breakfast? She also loved her new crayons and Dora book.
About an hour and a little coloring later, we all got dressed up and headed to church (even Daddy- we were so glad he didn't have to work!). Alyssa was a big fan of her Easter dress and liked to inform people, "I look pretty." However, she and Audrey did not want to cooperate for pictures.
After church, we headed to Lee-Lee's to eat lunch with all of Mommy's family. After enjoying lots of yummy Easter food, Alyssa, Madison, and Isaac hunted eggs hidden courtesy of Daddy, Uncle Cannon, Uncle Tenson, and Michael. Alyssa was totally into it and did a great job finding the eggs and putting them in her basket-although a few times she tried to take them out of Madison's basket and put them into her own.
Audrey watched the hunt from Lee-Lee's lap while holding her own plastic egg, which spent most of the afternoon in her mouth. Everything goes straight into Audrey's mouth these days.
Everyone was super tired when we got home and we all took a LONG nap! So refreshing! What a great way to spend Easter!
