This year Daddy had to work on Christmas Eve, so Mommy and Audrey headed to Pawpaw and Mama Mia's (Jared's dad and stepmom) house without him. Alyssa was already there. Mama Mia had called the day before and asked if Alyssa could spend the night because all of the other grandkids~ except for Isaac :( ~ were going to be there. Of course, Alyssa jumped at the chance to play with all of the big kids. Once Daddy arrived, all the kids opened their gifts and we ate lots of yummy food. Audrey and Alyssa headed home with new house shoes, princess plates, cups, and silverware, teddy bears, and play jewelry to keep them occupied the rest of the afternoon. Christmas Eve night Uncles Cannon and Tenson, Nana, Pappy, and Granny came over for dinner and for Mommy's side of the family to exchange gifts. The girls also opened their gifts from Jared's family in California. Once again, the girls got way too much stuff- tricycles, balls, dolls, shoes, books, clothes, roller skates, and board games to name a few. Our living room floor looked like a toy store and Santa hadn't even come yet! The next morning, the girls awoke to- MORE PRESENTS! Alyssa was very excited about Santa this year, but Audrey still wasn't that into it. Some faves from Santa were Alyssa's princess shoes, dress- up clothes, and nonfiction animal books and Audrey's toy camera and toy gears. We spent the day playing with everything and headed to Nana and Pappy's that afternoon for Christmas dinner. A very busy, but very fun and very blessed holiday!
