Consider Us Thankful

We have so much to be thankful for this year- two precious little girls, Mommy becoming a National Board Certified teacher (woohoo!!!), a great preschool and wonderful teachers, and an awesome family. Alyssa started her Thanksgiving festivities on Tuesday at school as an Indian princess. She was the cutest Indian princess I've ever seen and was a pro at playing her Indian drum:

On Wednesday, we all hopped a plane to California! We are so glad we finally made it out for Thanksgiving with all of Jared's family. The girls were great on the trip there. Audrey had a minor meltdown before we even left the airport in Birmingham, but got it under control before we were in the air. From the airport, we spent the afternoon with Jared's grandparents and then helped make the stuffing for Thanksgiving dinner. Thursday morning was spent playing flag football, playing on the playground and then we headed back to Jared's grandparents and feasted. Everything was so yummy! After a little shopping on Friday morning, Nana Donna, Auntie Jasmine and ourselves hung out at Jasmine's house and watched the Iron Bowl. Sadly, Alabama couldn't pull out a win. Amazingly, all the kids napped through Daddy's screaming at the television. After the game, we met Uncle Henry and Aunt Jane for an early pasta dinner and then headed home to rest and pack up since we had to wake up at 4:40 the next morning to make our flight home. Daddy forgot his phone was still on Alabama time though and we were all ready to go a little early on Saturday- two hours to be exact. It was a very quick trip, but we are so glad we got to spend some time with all of our family!!
