Highlight Reel

So, I'm not the best at this whole blogging thing. It may or may not have been almost a year since my last post. So, once again, I am going to make an effort to record our memories on a regular basis. In the meantime, here's a month-to-month breakdown of what's been happening in our world since last February:

In FEBRUARY, we made the most of some unseasonally warm weather,

Cheesers!

Alyssa took the training wheels off of her bike,

She expected to just be able to jump on and ride once the training wheels were off and didn't like when it took practice.

we celebrated Valentine's Day with lots of cards and chocolate,

Rapunzel headed to the Valentine Ball in 4K
we continued our Friday night traditions of indoor "campouts" complete with popcorn and a movie,

Sleepy baby with her lovey and paci

Sweet sisters

and added another furry friend to the family.

Meet Sampson

MARCH brought the start of sofTball season (Alyssa's third and Audrey's first),

Cute little catcher

Love my #1!

Go Mustangs!

Audrey learning how to swing herself :),

She was so proud!

a Spring Break filled with fun outings like trips to the zoo and a day trip with friends to Babyland General Hospital to check out where Cabbage Patch babies are born (of course, we had to bring a few babies home with us),

Such a fun day!

and sweet Miss Allie's 2nd birthday. Mommy cannot believe how fast that little girl is growing up. She is determined to be big just like her sisters. She can say just about anything (although she refuses to take her pacifier out of her mouth and just talks around it), Some of this two-year-old cutie's favorite things were Bubble Guppies, her lovey, swinging, "why?", singing "If You're Happy and You Know It", and her baby dolls.

Birthday Girl!

APRIL was a busy month filled with lots of fun. We started the month off with a visit from Auntie Jasmine and the girls' cousin Isaac during which we had a Bubble Guppies birthday party for the new two-year-old filled with lots of sweet kiddos, bubbles, running, and bouncing.

Cousin Love

Daddy's Girl

She was all about blowing out that candle!

We attended Easter egg hunts,

Ready to hunt!

She couldn't believe it!
dyed Easter eggs,

Impatiently waiting on her eggs

The dye was splashing everywhere

Can you guess which eggs belong to which child?

had a visit from the Easter bunny,

Happy Easter!

and had numerous failed attempts at a frameworthy Easter photo.

This was actually the good one!

Alyssa racked up some ribbons at Track and Field Day,

1st Place- tug of war and sack race, 2nd Place- 50 yd. dash

and of course, there was more softball.

Down and ready!

#2!!!

MAY is always exciting because summer is right around the corner and pretty weather is here to stay. There are always lots of fun things going on, and this year was no different. The girls finished out the regular softball season,

Sweet friends!

Alyssa's class took a field trip to the zoo,

So glad I was able to spend the day with these sweet girls!

Then: SWEET SUMMERTIME!

JUNE is always one of our favorite months. Why? The Freeman girls LOVE their pool time!

Allie sported her very first ponytail :),

Getting too big, too fast!

we spent long weekends at the ballpark while Alyssa played MORE softball (and her sisters played in the dirt),

Taking a break between games

Audrey's supervising the dirt play

and spent as much time as we could creating memories as a family.

The first part of JULY means family time in California for this family. We had so much fun spending time with everyone.

SF Zoo

Such a good picture!

Giants game for Isaac's birthday

Go Giants!

Annual Half Moon Bay trip

Enjoying the beach in Santa Cruz

The rest of the month was filled with all of our summertime favorites (playing outside, trips to the zoo, and swimming).
She can't pedal and makes you push her!

Camel ride at the zoo

Allie was a fan of the carousel.

At the end of July, Jared and I celebrated our tenth anniversary, and Jared surprised me with a trip to Savannah. So much fun! Big thanks to PawPaw and Mama Mia for watching the girls for us while we were gone!

Such a beautiful city!

Anniversary dinner at the Old Pink House- DELICIOUS!!!

Tybee Island Lighthouse

Riverwalk

Gorgeous!

AUGUST always means Back to School for Mommy and her girls. This year though, Audrey headed to kindergarten (she was so excited to be going to big school), and Mommy got to be with her girls every day teaching third grade at Southeastern! After teaching ten years at Chalkville with some wonderful people, Mommy was a little sad to leave, but even more excited to be with her girls!

The 2nd grader and her teacher, Mrs. Lewis

My kindergartener and Mrs. Blocker

Allie spent her days playing with Daddy and Mama Mia, and we spent every pretty weekend day we could squeezing in as much pool time as we could.

Audrey learned how to swim without her floaties, and Allie started cruising around the pool on her own.

SEPTEMBER brought the start of football season and the girls' first time to cheer. They both loved it instantly! Our lives were filled with nonstop cheering (at practice, at home, at games, EVERYWHERE!)

On September 15th, my cuddly little Audy Kat turned SIX! I cannot believe she is that old! She requested a unicorn pool party for her special day, and we did not disappoint. Just a little trivia about this SIX-year-old: She loves, loves, loves, kindergarten. She is like the homework Nazi. She will never let you forget if she has work to do. She still loves her baby dolls. She loves riding her big wheel at Pappy's house and pulling a little cart behind her.

Most of the party kids

Make a wish!

Making deliveries!

Audrey also lost her first tooth.

The day after she lost her first tooth, she interrupted my reading class for me to pull another tooth that was barely hanging on. Two teeth in two days!!!

Sunday afternoons in September were spent watching my #1 (Alyssa) playing Fall Ball. Audrey wanted to play fall ball, too, but there weren's enough girls in her age group.

The month of OCTOBER was BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! Audrey learned how to ride her bike without training wheels,

Thanks to Pappy for teaching her!

we visited the Pumpkin Patch in search of the perfect pumpkin,

Love!

Those dimples!!!

went trick-or-treating at  Boo at the Zoo (always a favorite),

and had a ton of fun playing the parts of Frozen on Halloween.

My own Ana, Elsa, and Olaf

The big girls even got to participate in a high school pep rally (Alyssa actually started running a 103.7 fever right after these pics and Audrey had her first spend-the-night at her friend Emory's house this night),

Go bananas!

Go, go bananas!!!

and they went to cheerleading competition. (Alyssa's squad won first place!)

Alyssa's reaction when their name was announced is awesome!

In NOVEMBER, we spent time remembering how thankful we are for our three blessings each and every day. How lucky we are that God entrusted these girls to us!!!

DECEMBER was a whirlwhind of activities. We took in the lights at Zoolight Safari,

headed to Palisades to visit Santa,

participated in the Christmas program at church,

baked Christmas cookies for Santa (and ourselves),

She couldn't resist a little taste.

Cookies and milk for Santa

and made the nice list! Santa had three very happy girls on Christmas morning!

Audrey requested a Lalaloopsy baby doll and an American girl doll with clothes.

Alyssa's request were Beados and American Girl doll stuff

Future hair stylist???

She was THRILLED when she saw this!

Loving her baby doll beds

Christmas baby!

We have had a very BLESSED 2014, and I cannot wait to see what 2015 has in store for these girls and our family! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
