Yesterday was Mommy's last day of work, so today Mommy, Alyssa, and Audrey decided to celebrate. This morning after breakfast, we headed to the park with some friends and let all the kids run around in the splash pad. There were tons of people there due to a YMCA field trip, but Alyssa didn't seem to mind. She absolutely LOVED it!!! Alyssa played in the water while Mommy and Audrey watched.
Audrey was a very good girl and didn't cry at all. She enjoyed watching everything that was going on around us.
After a couple of hours, everyone was ready for lunch and it was beginning to look like it might rain, so we packed everything up and dried everyone off. As we were leaving, who do you think drove up? The ICE CREAM TRUCK!! Of course, we just had to have ice cream. After our frozen treat and a bottle for Audrey, Mommy and Alyssa headed to Sneaky Pete's for a couple of hot dogs and french fries. After a yummy lunch, Alyssa fell asleep on the way home. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing around the house. All in all, a great way to start the summer!!!
