Six months crammed into one post :)

Alyssa celebrated her third birthday on January 25, 2010. My baby is getting so big! We celebrated her actual birthday by having a birthday dinner of hamburgers and french fries (Alyssa's favorite) with Mama Mia, PawPaw, Nana, and Pappy. Then we had birthday cupcakes and ice cream for dessert of course, and Alyssa opened a pair of Hello Kitty rain boots. The next Saturday, we had Alyssa's party at Pump It Up (Hello Kitty themed). She and Audrey both had a blast bouncing and jumping around and were asleep in the car within 5 minutes of leaving. Some of Alyssa's favorite presents were a Tinkerbell costume, play make-up and hair-styling kit, and sparkly shoes. On a side note- Alyssa's 3rd birthday meant no more paci. She had only used it at night since she turned 2, but we were afraid it would cause a few sleepless nights. She did so great though. We just told her once you were 3 it meant you were too big for a paci and she was fine with it. Yay!

Next came Valentine's Day. Nana Donna and Uncle Val came to visit for a few days. Nana Donna made her famous lasagna and cheesecake of course and Alyssa and Audrey thought it was so delicious. Mommy and Daddy got to enjoy a quiet kid-free Mexican dinner while Nana Donna and Uncle Val babysat. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

After Valentine's day came Spring Break. During spring break, Mommy enjoyed some fun time with her favorite girls. We headed to the park, the zoo, and the McWane Center for some fun!

Easter weekend was spent dying eggs, going to church, and eating lunch and hunting Easter eggs with the family at Lee-Lee's house. Oh, and a visit from the Easter Bunny of course.

Jared's sister and her husband came to visit in April. Isaac, Alyssa's cousin, spent the night with us, while Jasmine and Rob went to Talladega for the race. Alyssa and Isaac had lots of fun playing outside together and watching Finding Nemo.

With May came the end of the school year and the start of summer. Hooray!!! No work for Mommy, which means lazy days at the pool and lots of playing outside!

So- there you have it- six months of our lives in a nutshell! I'll be getting back to at least semi-regular posts from here on out :)
