Last Friday night, my cousin Hillary and I took Alyssa to the zoo for some Halloween fun. We left Audrey with my Aunt Marilee aka Lee-Lee. The day had been pretty rainy, so we weren't sure how it would be, but the weather turned out to be perfect- no rain and not too cold. Alyssa LOVED it. She loved seeing all the lights and the other kids in their costumes. She kept saying, "It's cute" about everyone's costume. When we got to the zoo, we just walked around for a bit looking at everything and then took Alyssa through the 3 trick or treat sections they had set up. At the entrance to one of the sections there was a fogger and Alyssa was fascinated. She kept running in and out of the fog laughing and screaming. After collecting her candy (which Mommy ate way too much of), we rode the carousel, which went backwards. Alyssa chose a tiger to ride and sat there like a big girl, but once the ride started she was terrified and kept trying to climb off and was clinging to my neck. I finally had to crawl on with her so she would stay on. After the carousel, we rode the haunted hay ride and the train, both of which she loved. She was waving at everyone and taking in all of the sights. We had a great time, and Alyssa did not want to leave.
