At about 2:00 Thanksgiving morning, Alyssa woke up screaming with a fever. By the time she got out of bed at about 8:30, it was up to 102 degrees. We gave her some Tylenol and thought that she might start to feel a little better, so we headed over to Jared's dad's house for an early Thanksgiving lunch since Jared had to be at work that afternoon. Alyssa felt absolutely terrible. She stayed in Mommy's lap the entire time and drifted in and out of sleep and her fever never went below 100 degrees so after about an hour, Mommy, Alyssa, and Audrey went home and Alyssa put on her PJ's and crawled into bed to watch a little Dora the Explorer a.k.a. Do. That afternoon Mommy and the girls were supposed to eat with Mommy's family, but Alyssa wasn't up to it, so Mommy left her with Pappy while she took the food she had made to the dinner and made a plate to eat. Alyssa's fever didn't go down all day, but when she woke up the next morning it was gone and after a trip to the doctor we found out she just had a bad cold (and that she weighs 30 lbs). Nothing a little Tylenol and Robitussin couldn't fix.
