Our family had a wonderful Christmas!!!! Christmas Eve morning we woke up and went to PawPaw and Mia's house for brunch. Alyssa loved playing with all the kids, especially Brooke who she just adores. She got several baby dolls, books, and a Dora jacket that she insists on wearing around the house ALL the time. Around lunch time we headed home so Mommy could clean house and make lasagna for dinner and so Alyssa and Audrey could nap. Nana, Pappy, Cannon, Tenson, and Granny came over for dinner and to open more presents. The girls got several very cute coordinating outfits (thanks to Nana in CA, Auntie Jasmine, and "I") and our house looked like a toy store with all of the toys and the girls received from them and Jared's family in California- pretend ice cream cones from Nana in CA, pretend cupcakes from Siena, Play-Doh, books, blocks, teethers, a blow up penguin filled with balls to push over, My Little Ponies, and pots and pans to name a few. Most of Audrey's gifts stayed in the box since we'll be moving soon and she's not quite into them yet. After opening all of her presents Alyssa was too excited to sleep and stayed up until almost 11. Christmas morning Alyssa woke up about 9 and Mommy, Daddy, and she went to see what Santa had left for her. She was very excited about her new kitchen. She also found some coloring books, crayons, a Mrs. Potato Head with police officer accessories (just like Daddy), a couple puzzles, sidewalk chalk, and a doctor's kit. Audrey got several baby toys and a Baby Einstein Activity Caterpillar. We played with all of Alyssa's new things while Audrey took a little nap and then headed to Nana and Pappy's around lunchtime to eat some yummy food. It was a beautiful day and we spent the afternoon outside drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing with the doggies. Christmas night we went to visit with Mommy's grandad and then went to visit with Lee-Lee and Hill who gave Alyssa a purse complete with pretend make-up. It was a big hit! We couldn't have asked for a better day- except we wish Daddy hadn't had to work on Christmas night.
New home! Come check it out!
